Tourism-Hanse
The old Hanse was an association of towns, co-operating and organizing trade in the Baltic Sea region. The activities of this organization created the foundation of a very prosperous period in the whole region during 1250 to 1669 - more than 400 years!

Increasing trade led to growth in economy and considerably contributed to the wealth of the Hanse and the Hanse towns in particular, but also contributed to the Baltic Sea region in general. The increasing trade and the development of economy spread across the Baltic Sea region as well as the North Sea region. Finally the Hanse organization were managing trade in more distant parts of Europe, e.g. the towns of Venice and Lisbon.
